For four energizing days in January, we joined more than 30,000 educators and EdTech professionals at BETT 2026 at ExCeL London. As the world’s leading education technology exhibition, BETT continues to bring together the people shaping the future of learning – and this year offered valuable clarity on where that future is heading.
Our objective was clear: showcase our smart charging solutions, strengthen partnerships, and better understand the evolving challenges schools face in managing digital infrastructure at scale.
Our Booth Experience
Located in the Innovation Zone, our stand featured the full range of Formcase solutions – from smart charging carts and protective cases to VR storage with VR glasses form PICO. One of the most rewarding moments was watching students step into immersive VR experiences, while we demonstrated the intelligent infrastructure supporting it behind the scenes.
Visitors engaged deeply with the details: smart charging designed to preserve battery health, integrated ventilation systems that manage heat effectively, and built-in safety features that are becoming increasingly critical in shared-device environments. For IT managers, it was about performance and longevity. For educators, it was about reliability and ease of use in busy classrooms.
Key Conversations and Insights
Across conversations with headteachers, IT directors, facilities managers, and international distributors, several themes consistently emerged.
Device longevity is now a strategic priority. Budget pressures mean schools can no longer afford rapid battery degradation or frequent device replacement. Charging behaviour – and the infrastructure behind it – has a direct impact on long-term performance.
Safety in charging environments is also moving higher on the agenda. Questions around heat management, ventilation, and fire suppression were no longer secondary considerations; they were central to procurement discussions.
At the same time, immersive learning has matured. VR is no longer viewed as experimental. It is being actively implemented, which brings practical infrastructure questions to the forefront: how to charge multiple headsets overnight, how to store them securely, and how to maintain them efficiently.
Special Mention!
Our stand in the Innovation Zone was designed to be open, welcoming, and conversation-driven. Two large LED screens showcased our smart charging and VR solutions in action, while a spacious reception area created the perfect setting for meaningful discussions – often continuing over a cup of coffee.
Trends Shaping Tomorrow’s Classrooms
BETT 2026 highlighted a shift toward more intelligent device management. Schools want visibility -clear indicators that devices are charging correctly, that safety thresholds are maintained, and that systems are working as intended without constant manual oversight.
Sustainability thinking is also influencing decision-making. Extending device life, protecting investments, and reducing unnecessary waste are becoming embedded in long-term planning rather than treated as secondary goals.
Perhaps most striking was the shared challenge across regions and school types: ensuring devices are consistently ready for students. Reliability remains the foundation of digital learning, yet many institutions are only beginning to recognize how deeply charging strategy affects that reliability.
Looking Ahead
The conversations we had in London reinforced a simple truth: infrastructure matters. Behind every successful digital learning programme is a system that quietly works – safely, intelligently, and consistently.
BETT 2026 provided not just visibility for our solutions, but valuable insight into how expectations are evolving. As schools continue scaling technology, the focus is shifting from simply providing devices to managing them responsibly and sustainably.
The discussions begun in London will shape our direction throughout the year. And as the needs of education continue to evolve, so will the solutions designed to support it.
If you’re navigating device management at scale or exploring smarter charging strategies, we look forward to continuing the conversation.
